Ronny Stephens

Ronny Eugene Stephens, 60, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Pine Pointe Hospice after an extended illness.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Jack Osburn officiating.  

Mr. Stephens was born in Macon, Georgia, and lived here most of his life.  He studied at Middle Georgia College, Georgia Institute of Technology, Mercer, and graduated at Central Georgia Technical College.  He retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an A&P Mechanic. He was a member of The Robert L. Scott International Plastic Model Society Chapter and The Perry R.C. Flyers. Ronny was also a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Ronny enjoyed collecting vintage model airplanes, trains and cars. He also liked playing the piano, saxophone and guitar. More than anything else, Ronny cherished spending time with his children and considered them to be his greatest life achievement. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Suellen E. Stephens; his father, Eugene W. Stephens, Sr; and brother, Alan Stephens.  He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Riley Stephens and son, Maddox Stephens, both of Aliso Viejo, California; brother, Gene Stephens (Paige) of Macon, Georgia; nephew and niece, Andrew Stephens and Madelyn Stephens, both of Macon. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ronny’s honor to Liberty United Methodist Church, 6511 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216.
