Ryan Shane Fleming Obituary

Ryan Shane Fleming “Rhino” of Macon Georgia passed away on August 25, 2021. He was born on May 10th, 1976, at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida on Mother’s Day. Visitation will begin at 4 pm with a celebration of life following at 5 pm on Saturday, November 13th at Sardis Heard Funeral & Cremation Center at 6125 Houston Road Macon, Georgia. Pastor Chris Moncrief will deliver an eulogy and anyone who wishes to share a memory of Ryan will be welcome to do so afterwards. The service will be live streamed over the web.

Ryan provided Private Security services and travelled the world with various Country Music Artist, Jason Aldean, Luke Combs, and Kane Brown to name a few. Ryan started his career in security at the age of 13 at Olympia Skating Rink in Macon and proceeded to work in numerous bars in the Macon area as a Bouncer before becoming a mandated deputy sheriff and serving with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office for several years.

He loved traveling on his motorcycle taking short and long trips with family and friends. He was an avid softball player and played for numerous teams in the Macon area. He loved to fish, mostly with just a cane pole at his Uncle Gerald’s Pond. He loved hanging out with his friends and watching sporting events. He was a Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons fan. He enjoyed playing along with the show Jeopardy and beat us more times than we like to admit. He had a quick wit and an easy smile. He was a force to be reckoned with and very protective of family and friends.

Ryan was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Sue Tyler Fleming of Macon Ga. He is survived by his father, Ralph Fleming (stepmom Ann Fleming) of Macon Ga., his big brother (whom he idolized) Travis Scott Fleming “Bigun” (wife Teri M. Fleming) of Atlanta Ga., Stepbrother John Chapman (wife Amanda Chapman) of Macon Ga., a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital at Atrium Health Navicent of Macon, Georgia.

Ryan was a loving son and brother. No one could ask for a better friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will live on in all our hearts forever.
