Sandra E. Rabun

Sandra E. Rabun, 80, of Perry, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home with Reverend Dennis Lanning officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to service.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Macon, Georgia.  Flowers are accepted or you may donate to your favorite charity in honor of Ms. Sandra E. Rabun. 

Sandra was born to the Late James William and Irene Barfield Ellis in 1943. She grew up in Macon, Georgia, and at a young age, Sandra already had become a caretaker by taking care of her younger sister, Debra.  She always put her family first. When her children came along, they were the highlight of her life.  She stayed home to take care of them and cherished every minute.  In 1972, she met the love of her life, Jimmy A. Rabun.  Sandra had found her soulmate.  They enjoyed twenty-five years of marital bliss until he passed.  Her faith in the Lord kept her going and she continued to live her life, enjoying her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of Heritage UMC in Macon.  Some of her favorite things she enjoyed were listening to Elvis Presley and tending to flowers, especially yellow roses and blue hydrangeas. 

Sandra is survived by her children, Rowdy Woodard, Renee Beach, Robin Riley (Keith), and Rhonda Drummond (Jeff); her grandchildren, Sandy Sangster (Matt), Crystal Jones (Mike), Keith Beach (Sally), Tyesha Crenshaw (Brandon), Melinda Woodard (Josh), Taylor Miller (Beau), Charles Rabun (Dusty), Amanda Van Derlee, Doris Anderson, Dustin Riley, and Jacob Riley (Sydney); several Great and Great-Great Grandchildren; her sister, Debra Darley; and her nephews, Rodney Darley (Dana) and Rusty Darley (Amber); and her other nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jimmy A. Rabun; and her son, Ricky Rabun.
