Stacey Tharpe, 50, of Fort Valley, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at The Assembly @ Warner Robins. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. The Reverends Darrell Yarbrough and Richard Azbell will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in honor of Stacey Tharpe to the Assembly @ Warner Robins, PO Box 1447, Warner Robins, Georgia 31099.
Stacey is known for his “Servant’s Heart.” He enjoyed volunteering at the Georgia State Parks, The Houston County Humane Society, and his church at the Assembly @ Warner Robins. Anyone who knew Stacey knew he was a walking and talking miracle, after surviving an industrial accident in 1992.
Stacey is survived by his wife of eight years, Carol Tharpe of Fort Valley; his stepdaughter, Faith Demmer (Roger) of Uvalda; his sister, Kim Arnett of Sturgis, Kentucky; his brothers, Wayne Tharpe of Warner Robins, Chris Mimbs of Wrightsville; and sister-in-law, Billie Jean Mimbs of Wrightsville; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Josephine Odum Mack and Emory Tharpe; and his brother, Quentin Mimbs, and daughter, Kimberly Nicole Carter.
