Obituary
Steven Eugene “Rip” Harris, 50, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sardis Heard Funeral Home. Reverend Doctor Tommy Jordan will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
Rip was born in 1972, in Macon to the late Dennis Hartley and Peggie Donnell Harris. He loved Jesus and wanted to help his fellow amputees by working in prosthetics.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Harris; son, Axel Hartley Harris; sister, Shannon Denise Hartley-Smith. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 20 years, Brandy Nicole Baldwin Harris.
