Wiley James McDaniel, Sr.

Wiley James McDaniel, Sr., 60, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held after visitation at 7:00 PM that evening.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Mr. Wiley James McDaniel, Sr.

Mr. Wiley was born in 1962 and has called Macon his home for his whole life.  He was a 1980 Southwest High School Graduate.  He loved dirt-track racing and watching his sons play their ball games.  He took pride in cabinet making and owned his own cabinetry business, McDaniel Cabinets.  He was also a member of Mt. Zion Church, located in Rentz, Georgia.  He loved spending time with his sons and their families, especially the grandchildren.  He will be missed dearly.

Mr. Wiley is survived by his two sons, Wiley McDaniel, Jr. (Brooke) and Brandon McDaniel (Carley); his grandchildren, Wiley McDaniel, III and Madelynn McDaniel; his brothers, Dennis McDaniel, Eric Baggett (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Baggett; his nephew, Eric Baggett, Jr.; and stepmother, Mae McDaniel; and stepbrothers, Carl Willard (Becky) and Dennis Willard (Tracey).  He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Graham McDaniel and Dolores Irene Purvis Baggett, and his stepfather, Gurshen Baggett.
